Nassa Grillo DOC Sicilia 2024 – Ramaddini

Grown on the sun-drenched coastal plains of southeastern Sicily, Ramaddini’s Nassa Grillo is a vibrant expression of the native Grillo grape. The vineyards, situated between Marzamemi and Pachino, benefit from marine breezes and are rooted in calcareous and sandy soils, contributing to the wine's distinctive minerality. Cultivated organically, the vines are managed with sustainable practices to ensure the utmost respect for the environment and the grape's integrity.

Harvested manually in early September to capture optimal ripeness and aromatic freshness, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing. The must is then subjected to a brief cold maceration on the skins, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine matures on fine lees for several months, enhancing its complexity and mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, delicate aromas of white flowers, lemon blossom, and citrus fruits are complemented by hints of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is fresh and savory, with a harmonious balance between acidity and softness. Flavors of white-fleshed fruits and a subtle saline note lead to a persistent, mineral-driven finish.

Serving & Pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. An excellent match for seafood dishes such as grilled fish or shellfish, as well as light pasta with herbs, white meats, and soft cheeses. Its freshness and structure also make it a delightful aperitif.
