From the rolling hills of Abruzzo, Mezzadro Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is crafted to showcase the generous fruit and approachable character of the region’s signature red grape. Montepulciano grapes are grown in vineyards benefiting from abundant sunshine and cooling influences from the nearby Adriatic Sea and Apennine Mountains, allowing the fruit to achieve excellent ripeness while retaining freshness and balance.

Following harvest, the grapes are carefully destemmed and gently crushed before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. A period of maceration on the skins extracts the wine’s deep ruby colour, ripe fruit character and soft tannins. The wine is then refined before bottling to preserve its vibrant aromas and varietal expression, resulting in a smooth and balanced Montepulciano with notes of ripe red and dark fruit, subtle spice and a fresh, supple finish.
