Produced from vineyards in the renowned crus of Starderi, Albesani, and Serraboella, the 2022 Barbaresco DOCG from Massolino is an elegant and finely detailed expression of Nebbiolo that highlights the finesse and aromatic lift characteristic of Barbaresco. The warm 2022 vintage brought generosity and texture, while cool nighttime temperatures preserved freshness and precision. 

Luminous garnet in colour, the nose opens with refined aromas of redcurrant, wild cherry, violet, dried rose, and lavender layered alongside crushed stone, orange peel, licorice, and delicate spice. On the palate, the wine is silky and energetic, offering polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and remarkable mineral tension. Notes of cassis, sour cherry, blue flower, and savoury spice carry through a long floral and mineral-driven finish that reflects both elegance and structure.

Compared to Massolino’s Barolos, this Barbaresco leans more toward finesse and aromatic precision rather than sheer power, making it beautifully approachable while still offering excellent aging potential.

Perfect alongside mushroom risotto, braised meats, truffle pasta, roasted duck, and aged cheeses.
