Kripia - 2024 Pecorino Terre d'Abruzzo IGP

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019 – Verbena

The 2019 Brunello from Azienda Agricola Verbena offers a beautifully poised expression of Montalcino’s signature grape, Sangiovese Grosso. Sourced from estate vineyards planted on well-drained soils with ideal elevation, this wine showcases the estate’s commitment to traditional methods and purity of fruit.

In the glass, it presents a luminous ruby-garnet hue. The nose is vibrant and layered, with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed rose petals, and a touch of orange zest. Subtle notes of dried herbs, sweet spice, and leather add complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

On the palate, the wine is elegant and structured, with fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity. Flavours of ripe cherry, pomegranate, and tea leaf are complemented by mineral undertones and a long, graceful finish. It’s a Brunello that balances depth and drinkability, making it suitable for both early enjoyment and mid-term cellaring.

The 2019 vintage is recognized for its clarity and freshness, and this wine embodies those traits with remarkable precision. Enjoy now with decanting, or age for 10 to 15 years to explore its full evolution.
