Nello Altomare is the founder of Liquid Portfolio and a third-generation Italo-Canadian with a lifelong connection to both family and wine. Drawing on years of experience in logistics and distribution, together with a deep passion for Italian culture and wine, Nello launched Liquid Portfolio to address an underserved market in Ontario: high-quality, authentic wines from passionate, small-scale producers. His approach blends business vision with personal dedication, ensuring that clients encounter wines chosen with care, leaving a lasting impression. Nello is especially committed to sourcing wines that deliver exceptional quality at remarkable value, giving Ontario clients access to bottles that stand out both on the table and in the market.

Our portfolio reflects the richness of Italy’s diverse wine landscape, from the noble reds of Piedmont and Tuscany to the iconic wines of Veneto, the refined whites of Friuli of Venezia Giulia, and the expressive southern styles from Abruzzo, Campania, Calabria, Puglia, and Sicily. Each selection is chosen with care to highlight not only the craftsmanship of the producer but also the distinctive character of Italy’s celebrated regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be food?
Yes. Guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and other bites throughout the evening.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
We recommend buying ahead since space is limited. A small number of tickets may be available at the door if we are not sold out.

Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available on-site for a fee.

Can I order wine at the event?
Yes. You can order wine directly at the event, and it will be delivered to your location. Prices will be displayed at each winery station, and orders can be placed at our order desk.

Is this a seated event?
This is a standing event designed for tasting and mingling.

What time should I arrive?
You can arrive anytime between 5:30 PM and 11:00 PM. We suggest coming early to enjoy the introductions and regional overviews.

Is the event 19+?
Guests must be 19 years or older to taste wine. All ages are welcome to attend with a valid ticket.

Will winery representatives be there?
Yes. Several producers and sommeliers will be present to share their knowledge and guide you through the wines.

Is this a fundraiser?
Yes. Proceeds will support Humber River Hospital Foundation.

Is there a coat check?
Yes. Coat check will be available.
